Iran granted citizenship to Afghans fighting in Syria: Tasnim

TEHRAN – Iran has granted citizenship to Afghans it enrolled for fight in Syria, aka defenders of shrine or the Fatemiyoun Brigade, following orders to that effect by Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei, Tasnim reported on Sunday, quoting the country’s head of Martyrs and War Veterans Organization.

Mohammad Ali Shahidi Mahallati also commented on insurance coverage for the families of the martyrs and veterans, saying, “Over the past year about 2,000 defendants of shrine were martyred and were given coverage by the organization.”
